My journey toward holistic wellness profoundly shaped my financial success. Honestly, who would’ve known that a breakup in my early twenties would become the catalyst for the woman, entrepreneur, and coach I would eventually become?

But eventually I realized my body was trying to communicate something deeper. I began changing my diet, removing dairy and meat, and eventually adopted a more plant-based lifestyle.

And honestly, the transformation affected far more than my physical health. I had more energy, more mental clarity, more emotional stability, and more focus. For entrepreneurs especially, physical wellness affects almost everything — productivity, creativity, confidence, emotional regulation, resilience, and decision-making.

I also think entrepreneurship places enormous pressure on the mind. You’re constantly making decisions, managing uncertainty, holding responsibility, and thinking about the future. Mental exhaustion can become normalized very quickly when you’re self-employed because there’s always something else you could be doing.

Another email. Another launch. Another strategy. Another task. There were seasons in my life where I struggled to mentally disconnect from work at all. Even during rest, my mind was still working. I was constantly thinking about what I needed to improve, create, fix, or achieve next.

And honestly, that level of hyper-vigilance eventually becomes unsustainable. Journaling became one of the biggest tools that helped me mentally and emotionally process my experiences. Sometimes I journaled through fear. Sometimes through grief. Sometimes through financial anxiety or uncertainty around my business and future.

But writing gave my thoughts somewhere to go instead of allowing them to endlessly circulate internally. Mindfulness and meditation also became essential parts of my routine over time. Those quiet moments of pause helped me slow down enough to hear myself again beneath all the noise.

And honestly, I think many entrepreneurs unconsciously build businesses from wounded places at first. Trying to prove themselves. Trying to feel worthy. Trying to finally feel validated through achievement. But healing changes the way you work too.

You stop glorifying exhaustion as success. You stop romanticizing burnout. You stop attaching your worth entirely to productivity. One of the biggest money mindset shifts I experienced was realizing that rest does not make you lazy. It makes you sustainable.

For me, meditation, gratitude, prayer, and reflection became grounding practices during uncertain seasons. They helped me reconnect with myself when entrepreneurship felt overwhelming. Because honestly, entrepreneurship can feel emotionally destabilizing at times. There are seasons of uncertainty, rejection, inconsistency, and fear that require something deeper than motivation alone.

You need something grounding you beyond external validation. Spiritual wellness helped me stop attaching my entire identity to outcomes. It reminded me that my worth still existed even during slower seasons, uncertainty, or moments where things weren’t going perfectly.

That perspective changed the way I approached both business and life. I became less obsessed with proving myself and more focused on building something sustainable, aligned, and meaningful.
